Impossible Lecture invites your proposals stretching across theatre / performance / live art / cabaret / dance / participatory / workshop / music / spoken word / classes / talks / film / miscellaneous - basically anything fit for a music festival!

2014 marks our 4th year programming Impossible Lecture at Beacons Festival and we want you to help us build upon our infamous reputation for creating a space of anarchic unpredictability and unadulterated joy. We have a stage, lights, a blackboard, a projector, PA and the desire to create unforgettable moments that etch themselves into the minds of festival goers for years to come.

Impossible Lecture aspires to be more than just another performance tent; instead an open and honest space for ideas to flourish and discussions to flow freely. We are particularly interested in any artists that want to engage with festival goers in an active / participatory way. Impossible Lecture is a social space and we encourage work that reflects our ethos.

Impossible Lecture is a unique, artist led, Live Art and Contemporary Performance stage that exists to support emerging talent in performance art, theatre, dance, cabaret, and participatory arts from across the UK. Our temporary venue held at BEACONS MUSIC FESTIVAL, runs 9am - 4am 7th-10th August 2014. Now in our 4th year, we have quickly expanded from a small guerrilla arts project into a fully-fledged festival stage and cafe, attracting emerging talent: especially those who would not necessarily consider Music Festivals as a platform for their work.
