Flare Support team - call for expressions of interest

Flare Support Team

The Flare Weekender, Manchester, UK 13+14 June 2014

Flare is looking to form the Flare Support Team to assist in the delivery and hosting of the Flare Weekender at Z-arts, Manchester. A voluntary arrangement, aimed at anyone interested in gaining experience of contemporary theatre producing, the Flare Support Team will be entitled to free entry to all aspects of the Weekender, including performances and food. The team will meet twice in Manchester before the Weekender (dates tbc), and be responsible for assisting the festival organisers in the following areas:

Catering , Technical (light/sound/AV/staging), Documentation (video/stills), Evaluation (blog/review writing), Front of House (staffing and décor), Transport (including driving).

The Flare Weekender is a two day, international micro-festival of high quality new radical theatre-based performance. The little brother of the major Flare International Festival of New Theatre, the Flare Weekender will present up to 10 performances, alongside discussions, workshops, networking events, live music and a party. The Flare Weekender is presented in conjunction with Word of Warning and is supported using public funding by Arts Council England, by Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of Salford.

Anyone interested in becoming part of the team should contact Kevin Egan by email, outlining in no more than 200 words 'why I would be good for Flare', highlighting which area(s) you would be suited to, and giving the name and email address of one referee.

Expressions of interest should be received by 7th March at the latest.
