“Getting There: A double bill”
CALL FOR PROPOSALS
EXTENDED DEADLINE: 8th January 2014
Assemble are seeking proposals from emerging and/or student performance companies with a piece of 45-60 mins, for a platform event at Antwerp Mansion – February 2014
Getting There brings together performance companies at different stages of their careers to showcase their work at a supportive, contemporary platform. Getting There connects companies making work in the North-West and nationally, creating a setting for artists to meet and be inspired by each other’s work.
Alongside the selected company, we will be very proud to present a performance of Bristol-based Massive Owl’s We Used to Wait to kickstart their tour.
Moving through moments of playful interaction, participation and celebration, We Used To Wait explores what it means to be ‘live’ and present together in an increasingly digital world. We Used To Wait invites its audience to question why falling asleep on a stranger’s shoulder, playing a spontaneous game and feeling the wind of someone run past you might be important.
