Sheffield’s new showcase for inventive & original work in the performing artsElevator opens its doors during the Tramlines weekend, Saturday 20th - Sunday 21st July
The showcase will include work from across the spectrum of performing arts including Street Theatre, Spoken Word, Alternative Comedy and Cabaret, Live Art; Dance and New Writing.
There will be a commissioning pot of up to £4,000 to develop work seen at the showcase and opportunities for artists to have their work considered by programmers of touring theatre from South Yorkshire’s New Touring Scheme, Performance Republic

Performance Republic
Performance Republic is a new network of venues, promoters and artists aiming to get more people seeing & participating in live performance in South Yorkshire. Performance Republic is piloting a touring scheme based on the national rural touring model http://www.ruraltouring.org/ whereby over 25 new performances and workshops will tour to non traditional venues in Doncaster, Barnsley, Rotherham and Sheffield.
