warnmcr: it's queer up north..?!

Word of Warning...
Ouch... sorry for the pun (for those of us old enough to get it) but with the launch of Queer Contact,  Word of Warning's Spring Programme is also now officially underway with Sister... and in general it feels like Spring is in full swing, with a truly hectic ten days.

Whilst Sister is fully booked, tonight and tomorrow (Fri 6 + Sat 7) you can still see Eggs Collective Get A Round at Contact, David Shearing & Company's The Weather Machine at Stage@Leeds or Friend + Foe's Lost Minutes at the Unity, Liverpool.

Next week, Queer Contact continues, on Wed 11 + Thu 12 Feb with Shortcuts, a double bill featuring Tom Marshman's Botox Party  + Ashley Knowles's Rage On The Dancefloor followed by Kate O'Donnell's Big Girl's Blouse, while the Lowry joins in with Fergus Evans's Rove on Fri 13 + Sat 14 Feb.  Also in Manchester, CFCCA (formerly Chinese Arts Centre) has Call + Response: Chinese Whispers on Wed 11 Feb.

Further afield, on Tue 10 + Wed 11 Feb in Crewe, Axis Arts Centre hosts Reckless Sleepers' Negative Space and in Liverpool, Unity has Theatre Ad Infinitum's Light.

In two rare appearances in this post, Bolton Octagon has Sophie Willan's The Novice Detective also on Wed 11 Feb; while Bury Met has Tmesis Theatre's That's Amore on Thu 12 Feb.

Further North, Live at LICA is also at the Duke's Playhouse, Lancaster with Chris Thorpe + Hannah Walker's I Wish I Was Lonely on Fri 13 Feb; and looking east, Bradford's Theatre in the Mill has Rebecca Atkinson-Lord's Sunday Lunch Project, strangely enough on Sun 15 Feb.

Unbelievably the following week is half-term and things go quiet again, though you can catch Mammalian Diving Reflex at Contact, and Clod Ensemble in Lancaster - but make the most of the lull as the last week of February through most of March are truly frantic!

I, meanwhile, am heading south to Bristol for In Between Time IBT15 (12-15 Feb), so there's a chance this mail will have an enforced break if I can't find a moment to write it!

best
